 salvete quirites. i do not know how this website works, but it does appear to Work, unlike Certain Other Social Networks. anyway this is me tate @catilinas from tumblr, which is, as the kids say, going to shit. let's see what happens! if tumblr does keep imploding (and at least while it's basically nonfunctional) i'm gonna try putting my hashtag niche classics posts here.

things that may or may not happen:

• moving some posts from tumblr to here, Just In Case
• posting things here? the fact that this site seems more geared towards Longer posts means. maybe i'll get more coherent! 
• friday 07/12/18 is the anniversary of cicero's death. i'm gonna read the anonymous 1651 play "the tragedy of that famous roman orator marcus tullius cicero" (read it here!) and see if this website is good for liveblogging Weird Old Plays. experiment!

so that's that. hmu if you're from classics tumblr or even if you're not! i'm gonna go write my cassius dio commentary. why does writing this feel like reading one of cicero's letters. valete.
